about
Charlie Guidry presents me with a track to collaborate on. It was initially slated to be some electronica with some bass. Yeah. Been doing that a lot lately because reasons that should be apparent in today's pandemic thingies. Ok. Then Xander (my son) introduces me to Future Funk. Japanese EDM with live instruments. I become a fan of some of it. SO. This track needed live guitar and live drums. Because Xander introduced me to Future Funk. SO! Chris Nix lays down some mean lead guitar. Because Xander introduced me to Future Funk. I played some live bass and did a bass solo. Because I play bass. A lot. SO! That should have been it. But it wasn't because Xander introduced me to Future Funk. SO! Then it needed drums. Live drums. Kevin Radomski did the drums. That should have been it. Then Kevin did the drums AGAIN because he got some new recording preamps. That should have been it. BUT... Xander introduced me to Future Funk. I wanted Charlie's beats and synths to blend with live drums. I also wanted a big ambient sound. Because I like big ambient sounds. I like EDM. A lot. And Xander introduced me to Future Funk. This tune had may incarnations. It is now this. Hope you enjoy. Xander. This is his fault. I love him a lot though. He keeps me from being too fuddy-duddy. And last but not least, it needed strings. So, Steven Higginbotham stepped in to fill that void.
